Let’s Talk Jobs with Journey To Dream

Earlier this year, we shared information about our collaboration with Journey to Dream / Kyle’s Place, a nonprofit home for unhoused and at-risk teens in Denton County. Two of our Trustees, Debbie Oaks McBride and Cynthia Minchillo, took our conversation about partnership to the next level by holding a four-week career workshop for the teens.

Using their industry expertise, Cynthia and Debbie took this opportunity to share their knowledge of the workforce and hiring practices. The JTD /KP teens learned about various roles they currently qualify for and were guided through steps of empowerment in hopes of getting them where they want to be in the future.
